Steve is an advisor, director, speaker and author who works with CEO’s and their leadership teams to drive change, stimulate innovation and substantially improve performance. He successfully leverages over thirty-five years of experience working as an operating executive, director and consultant at both global Fortune 100 companies and mid-size companies. Steve’s special talent lies in looking at every situation with “Fresh Eyes” – teaching leaders how to see and identify the real issues vs. symptoms, to accelerate the pace of decision making and to substantially improve financial results.

HIS EXPERIENCE

Prior to forming Engaged Leadership Advisors, he served as a managing director at Alvarez & Marsal for 10 years, where he advised private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Previously, he worked at American Express for 15 years where his most recent position was Chairman and CEO of American Express Bank. Steve’s exceptional talent lies in looking at every situation with “Fresh Eyes” to seeing and identifying the real issues, accelerating the pace of decision making, driving change, and improving performance.

Steve earned his BA from City College of New York and his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of business, and lives in New York C
